Professor GERMAINE GREER will join a panel of speakers on 8 July 2007 to celebrate the life and achievements of Sylvia Pankhurst (1882–1960). This event, 'The Indefatigable Miss Pankhurst', will be part of a festival in her honour, with the première of a biographical play, and an exhibition revealing some lesser-known aspects of her life and work including her paintings. The festival will take place in Woodford, Essex – Sylvia's home for some 34 years. It marks the 80th year of her son Dr Richard Pankhurst, OBE. He and his wife Rita will be special guests at this event
in the great hall of his old school, Bancroft’s.
